Grace and Peace in Christ Jesus to All Who Visit Here

Messiah Lutheran Church is a large community of Christians on the near-west side of Cleveland in Fairview Park, Ohio. We come together week after week to remember that the death and resurrection of Jesus is the best thing God has ever done for the world. It offers human beings a new way to live with each other, and with God. It's also the key to the future for everyone who will take the risk today of trusting it.
If you live in our area and are looking for a busy, active church home where people will encourage you to keep living and hoping in Christ, or if you'd simply like to learn more about the Christian promise, we invite you to come visit us!

Worship Schedule

SUNDAYS 8:30AM & 10:00 AM

Give Thanks for the Youth Ministry of Mrs. Kate Ilg

Mrs. Kate Ilg has served as Youth Minister at Messiah since October 2015.  During this time, she has invested in Messiah’s youth with passion and great creativity. She has discerned that at the completion of the upcoming Houston ELCA Youth Gathering trip with 27 of Messiah’s young people, she will conclude her time serving as Youth Minister.  Thankfully, Mrs. Ilg will remain in the valuable role of Music Teacher for Messiah School.  For this we give great thanks!  Please plan to worship on Sunday, June 3 at the 10am service  to officially say “Thank you” and to celebrate what God has done through Mrs. Ilg’s ministry.

            Retirement Celebration

Priscilla Hinsch, Associate in Ministry, is retiring from her full time call as third grade teacher at the end of the school year.  Since her call to Messiah Lutheran Church in 1981, she has used her gifts to serve as teacher, coach, athletic director, and more.  She has also been active in prayer shawl and prayer ministries.  Help us give thanks to God for her service and wish her a blessed retirement at a reception on Sunday, June 10, following the 10 a.m. worship service.
