| "Hearts for Haiti" Campaign raises $1,722.00!!The students and families of Messiah Lutheran School poured out their hearts in an amazing demonstration of Christian love by raising $1,722 in the "Hearts for Haiti" campaign. This campaign, sponsored by Miss Susan Westcott and the seventh-grade class, had originally challenged the student body to raise $500 in chapel offerings for disaster relief in Haiti during the weeks of January 18, 25, and February 2. The original goal was almost met after the first week's offering when $446.50 was given. The goal was raised to $1000 during the week of January 25th, and that goal was exceeded after the offering on the 27th netted an additional $639. Raising the goal one more time to $1400 for the last week of the campaign, the students and families contributed another $636.50 toward the cause. The money will be sent to ELCA International Disaster Response Fund. |
| New Tech Lab This fall Messiah Lutheran School started the school year with a new technology lab. We acquired 30 new Lenovo laptops with wireless internet connection and a Lexmark network printer.

| Messiah Students Score 82% on TerraNova Tests
Terra Nova Achievement Tests
Each year, our students in grades one through eight participate in achievement testing. Since the 2006-07 school year, we have been using the Terra Nova Achievement Test.

| New middle school building
In February, 2008, as a result of the Opening the Way building program, Messiah’s students began to use our new Middle School and Art/Science Lab. The building contains one classroom for each middle school grade – 6th, 7th, and 8th – as well as an Art/Science Lab to be used by any class in the school.
