Terra Nova Achievement Tests
Each year, our students in grades one through eight participate in achievement testing. Since the 2006-07 school year, we have been using the Terra Nova Achievement Test.
Below is a summary of our average percentile scores on the five major test areas:

Reading 82%-ile

Social Studies 82%-ile
A percentile uses national norms to approximate how a student performed relative to others of the same grade level. It does not indicate a percentage of correct responses, but a ranking. For example, the 80 %-ile indicates that the student performed better than 80% of his peers nationally.
In grades two, four, and seven, students also take the InView which is a cognitive abilities test. Our students’ scores on the above test categories are consistently higher than would be expected from their cognitive abilities scores. This shows that our students perform above their potential. This is a tribute to their efforts, as well as those of their teachers and parents.
