In February, 2008, as a result of the Opening the Way building program, Messiah’s students began to use our new Middle School and Art/Science Lab. The building contains one classroom for each middle school grade – 6th, 7th, and 8th – as well as an Art/Science Lab to be used by any class in the school.
Classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology including SmartBoards with integrated projectors. The building also has wireless Internet access. These technologies open up enormous possibilities for using the educational tools of today to prepare our students for their education, career, and life now and in the future.
This building was made possible by the contributions of many members and friends of Messiah Lutheran Church and School and the hard work of many staff and lay volunteers alike. We are very grateful for all of the time, talent, and treasure that went into making this dream a reality.
The building itself is a work of art, with its beautiful tile work, open design, and the cross which expresses the source of our faith to the community and all who pass by.
We are excited about the opportunities this new facility presents for education and the potential for expanded ministries in the church and school that result from the additional space made available.
We are truly blessed here at Messiah. To God be the glory!
