WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

The Messiah Lutheran School 7^th-8^th grade boys’ basketball team was victorious in the All-Ohio Lutheran Basketball Tournament, held on March 5-7 at Lutheran High School East in Cleveland Heights.

 

The six-team tournament included top Lutheran teams from across Ohio, including schools from Napoleon, Marysville, and the Cleveland area.

 

Messiah began the tournament with a victory over St. Paul, Westlake. In the second round, they defeated St. Paul, Napoleon. The championship game was a 44-43 nail-biter over previously undefeated St. John, Nottingham (Cleveland).

 

The victory qualifies the Trailblazers for the National Lutheran Basketball Tournament to be held at Valparaiso University the last weekend in March.

 

Way to go, Blazers!

This fall Messiah Lutheran School started the school year with a new technology lab.  We acquired 30 new Lenovo laptops with wireless internet connection and a Lexmark network printer.

Terra Nova Achievement Tests

Each year, our students in grades one through eight participate in achievement testing. Since the 2006-07 school year, we have been using the Terra Nova Achievement Test.

In February, 2008, as a result of the Opening the Way building program, Messiah’s students began to use our new Middle School and Art/Science Lab.  The building contains one classroom for each middle school grade – 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th – as well as an Art/Science Lab to be used by any class in the school.
